Environmental Responsibility

As a socially responsible company, we are committed to minimize our environmental impact, support the wellbeing of our employees and conduct business in accordance with ethical principles. Sustainable development is an integral part of our long-term strategy.

Saving Natural Resources

  • we continuously reduce our energy and water consumption

  • renewable energy forms part of our energy mix

  • waste heat from our refrigeration system is recovered to heat water storage tanks

  • we operate our own wastewater treatment plant

  • we optimise inventory management to reduce waste and improve efficiency

  • we actively prevent food waste throughout our operations

  • we maximise transport efficiency to reduce environmental impact

Reducing Plastic Consumption

  • wherever possible, we reduce the amount of plastic used in our packaging materials

  • we minimise the use of plastic tools and equipment in production
  • we replace plastic materials with durable alternatives such as stainless steel whenever feasible

Using Recycled Materials

  • the vast majority of our packaging is fully recyclable
  • cartons, corner protectors, pallet covers and other auxiliary packaging materials are made from recycled materials

Waste Management & Recycling

  • we participate in the Responsible Company initiative
  • our internal processes ensure efficient waste sorting and recycling throughout the company

Protecting Rainforests

  • since 2015, we have been an Associate Member of the RSPO, supporting the certification of sustainable palm oil
  • we prioritise sustainably sourced palm oil. In 2022, 94% of the palm oil we purchased was RSPO certified

Carbon Offset Initiatives

  • we are developing carbon offset projects to reduce our overall CO₂ footprint
  • these initiatives will also contribute to preserving natural resources and supporting local communities
  • this year, we will plant hundreds of new trees in selected areas of the Orlické Mountain
